What should I put in my Binder?
Ms. Ceruolo’s Biology Binder Checklist - suggested
(2018-2019)
Here are the 5 sections that you should be taking from your notebook/portfolio and organizing into your 3 ring binder for a Biology notebook/binder grade (10%). Let me know if you have any questions. You will need to continue to add to this binder for the rest of the year.
Do-Now/ Class Notes:
This includes my syllabus and intro sheet, as well as anything copied from the board everyday in chronological order and any do-nows, hand-outs, study guides, guided notes or packets. Please also include anything in your portfolio. Set up by date/chapter. Foldables and flash cards may be placed in the binder pocket.
Homework:
This includes any worksheets and notes assigned for homework (vocabulary definitions, key concepts, reading checkpoints, timelines, important pictures/diagrams/equations, and from time to time, section assessments).
MCAS:
MCAS packets and worksheets that we work on are included in this section.
Test / Quizzes:
Corrected tests and quizzes that are passed back in chronological order are included here.
Labs:
Labs that are passed back in chronological order are included here.
or you may set up your binder by chapter or by topic on paper or online, whichever is easier for you...
